Damage, Loss, Care & Rental Policy

Responsibility for Damage or Loss

Customers are responsible for the full cost of any physical or internal damage, loss, theft, or failure resulting from misuse during the rental period.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Dropping or impact damage

• Water or liquid damage

• Electrical damage from improper use, including use with incorrect voltage

• Missing parts, attachments, cases, or accessories

• Tampering, modification, or attempted repair of the device

• Damage resulting from negligence or improper storage

If a device is lost, stolen, confiscated, abandoned, misplaced, left in a hotel, left in a rental vehicle, lost by an airline, or otherwise unavailable for return, the customer will be charged the applicable replacement cost.

Inspection Process

Each device is thoroughly inspected, tested, and documented before delivery to ensure proper functionality and condition.

Each device is inspected again upon return to verify functionality and identify any damage, missing components, excessive wear, or performance issues.

izzy maintains inspection and functionality records for each rental.

Payment Authorization

By placing an order, customers authorize izzy to charge the payment method on file for any amounts owed due to:

• Damage

• Loss or theft

• Missing components

• Unreturned devices

• Late return fees

• Replacement charges

• Costs associated with violations of these rental terms

Device Performance

All devices are thoroughly tested, inspected, and documented prior to delivery.

Customers are required to test the device upon arrival at their travel destination and report any functionality or performance issues to izzy within 12 hours of arrival.

Failure to report an issue within 12 hours of arrival at the travel destination constitutes acknowledgment that the device was received in working condition and is functioning as intended.

Continued use of the device after discovering a performance issue may constitute acceptance of the device's condition.

Late Returns

Rental periods end on the agreed return date.

Failure to return a device on time may result in additional daily rental charges until the item is returned.

Devices not returned within 14 days of the scheduled return date may be deemed lost and charged at full replacement value.

Delivery Confirmation

Proof of delivery provided by a shipping carrier, delivery partner, signature confirmation, delivery photograph, tracking information, or delivery record shall constitute evidence that the rental item was successfully delivered.

Proper Use

Customers agree to:

• Use the device only as intended

• Use only with the appropriate voltage and outlets

• Follow all manufacturer instructions

• Handle all devices and accessories with reasonable care

• Not transfer, lend, sublease, rent, or provide the device to any third party

The original customer remains fully responsible for the device throughout the rental period.

Sanitization & Maintenance

All devices are professionally cleaned and sanitized between rentals.

Our process includes:

• Removal of hair and debris from all attachments

• Surface disinfection using beauty-safe sanitizing solutions

• UV-C sanitization

• Full functionality testing before the next rental

Devices are delivered clean, sanitized, and ready for use.

Filter Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance:

• Filters are cleaned regularly between rentals

• Devices are inspected for airflow and performance

• Filters are replaced as needed based on wear and condition

Normal Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear refers to minor signs of use that do not affect the appearance, performance, or safety of the device.

Examples include:

• Minor cosmetic scuffs

• Light surface marks from normal handling

• Routine signs of use removable through standard cleaning

Normal wear and tear does not include:

• Cracks, chips, dents, or structural damage

• Water damage

• Electrical damage

• Burn marks

• Missing components

• Damage affecting performance or safety

Any damage beyond normal wear and tear may be charged to the customer.

Replacement Costs

Shark FlexStyle: $300

Missing attachment: $50

Missing travel case: $50

Replacement costs may be updated periodically to reflect current retail replacement values.

Chargebacks

Customers agree to contact izzy regarding any concerns before initiating a chargeback.

izzy reserves the right to dispute chargebacks using available evidence, including delivery records, tracking information, inspection records, photographs, communications, and rental documentation.

Limitation of Liability

izzy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use or inability to use rented products, including missed travel plans, events, styling outcomes, or personal property damage.

Rental Eligibility

Customers must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to enter into binding agreements.

Agreement

By placing an order with izzy, customers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies and accept responsibility for returning all rented items in the same condition received, excluding normal wear and tear.
